Choosing a Tiffany chandelier

Tiffany-style chandeliers use many small pieces of coloured glass joined with metal, so the light glows through the colours. They suit dining rooms, kitchens and traditional or craftsman interiors.

Over a table: pick a shade about half to two thirds of the table's width, with the bottom 30–36″ (76–91 cm) above the table. Most designs hang from a chain, so the drop can be adjusted.

Because each light is assembled by hand, colours and patterns can vary slightly. Warm white bulbs show the glass at its best.

Every light lists its size in inches and centimetres, the bulb base and whether bulbs are included, and is supplied for your country's voltage. Hard-wired fittings should be installed by a qualified electrician. See our chandelier size guide.

Chandeliers: frequently asked questions

What size chandelier do I need?
A common guide is a chandelier about half to two-thirds the width of your dining table. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total is a good diameter in inches. Our chandeliers run from compact designs around 12" wide to statement pieces over 39" wide, and every listing gives the width and height.
How high should a chandelier hang?
Over a dining table, a common guide is 30-36" (75-90 cm) from the tabletop to the bottom of the chandelier. In walkways, leave at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance. Most of our chandeliers hang on a chain, cord or downrods, with the length listed in the specifications.
What bulbs do your chandeliers use?
Candelabra E12/E14 and medium E26/E27 bases are the most common, followed by built-in LED and G9. Bulbs are not included on about three-quarters of our best sellers, so check "Bulb Included" before you order.
Are they dimmable?
Yes. Our chandeliers with standard sockets are dimmable with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
Can I get a different chain length or finish?
