Which stool height do you need?

Measure from the floor to the top of your counter or table:

  • Counter about 36″ (91 cm): stools with a 24–26″ (61–66 cm) seat.
  • Bar about 42″ (107 cm): stools with a 28–30″ (71–76 cm) seat.

Leave about 10–12″ (25–30 cm) between the seat and the counter for legroom, and 26–30″ (66–76 cm) from the centre of one stool to the next. A footrest and a back make longer sitting more comfortable.
